This was a sensitive renovation to an existing stone farmhouse, which focused on the need to create a kitchen and family area that captured the country environment and provided all the amenities for a gourmet chef. This is an old farmhouse that was once a bed and breakfast, and has since been converted to a single family home. The old kitchen was a narrow galley style layout that was located at the far end of the home with very little connection to the main living area. The new design created a large kitchen addition, which blends seamlessly to a renovated space that became the new family room. The new kitchen and adjoining family room have become favorite gathering spaces in the new home.
